    Hashtags were meant to be a clever way to condense situational humor into one word that appropriately summed up what was taking place.

    Now, in the past five years, they're used to such an extent (although it's died down now) that people are posting things on FB and other social media outlets like: Going to the store right now followed by #Store, #Shopping, #CVS, #CashRegister, #Money, #Summer, #Lotion

    Where... Where do we draw the line?

    I even have a couple of old professors on FB and I saw one of them using hashtags in one of his statuses!
