Does anyone here actually give a crap about Adult Swim anymore?

Serious question. No one bothered to talk about the new custom bumpers we got the other day.

    http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/daily-briefs/2016-06-20/studio-deen-animates-adult-swim-bumper/.103395

No one gave a flying f**k about Venture Bros' finale, the Blu Ray of Rick and Morty Season 2 went on sale without a peep. Robot Chicken is doing a Walking Dead special in the vein of their DC super shows. No one gives a shit.

The only people who actually talk about shows are the animu fans and they're getting flamed to rustle their jimmies so people can find some vague modicum of entertainment in this post apocalyptic wasteland of a forum.

So, when did you stop caring?

When I moved out of the country and didnt have access to cable.
Actually... I got rid of cable a little more than a year before I left the states, so probably then.
    Well always have Paris though...

Don't assume I've stopped caring just because I haven't said shit.

    [deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen]

The only thing worse than maggots who want HxH removed based on personal preference are maggots who betray a show they love just because its ratings aren't to their liking. Also Ayumu.

I still watch [as] all the time. The block and their Hulu/Netflix shows. I call in the Fishcenter all the time. Athena actually did post about the Rick and Morty season 2 blu ray. But not every little thing will get a thread but it doesn't mean we haven't seen it. Like animated bump is cool but it would never occur to me to post about it. I was posting about new Check It Out and Decker last week though

Cool. I also am still a big fan of the network and post about most of the comedy stuff regularly here. The reason I am here is because I am a fan. Still.

my 61 year old mother watches adult swim religiously until saturday, its her day off.

i still watch adult swim but not usually during scheduled programming anymore, because streaming. also, it allows me to skip live action and the anime. no point in watching the anime anymore. i already own all of those older series that aren't shit that they replay over and over. any new shit i want to watch, i can consume in a gluttonous manner on the internet.

am I smilin enough? am I smilin too much? am I tucked in and buckled, do my tits touch? hi, how are you, how high are you?
less teeth and more tits its never enough. you'll never be good enough.

i mean i still do care, but its super bland and lame nowadays... so like when adult swim doesnt suck anymore, ill return to watching it regularly.

Last night was the first time I watched on a non-anime night in years. Just a Family Guy I hadn't seen to use as background noise while eating. They were spoofing Fairy Tales iirc. I just remember it ended on an incredibly cringey Meg suicide joke.

To be fair though I barely watch cable in general anymore, outside a few shows/news stuff and occasionally a baseball or football game.

Years ago. I'm sorry but I don't find AS interesting anymore

Barely. As far as their original content is concerned, just about the only stuff I'll tune in for every week is Ricky & Morty and Venture Bros. All the other stuff I liked has been cancelled (Metalocalypse, Boondocks, Aqua Teen, etc.).

I tune in for Toonami every week and I occasionally watch reruns of American Dad, but for the most part the network may as well be dead to me at this point. Too many crappy live-action shows and long hiatuses between decent animated shows for me to care about tuning in most of the time.

When they screwed over Metalocalypse. I'll only care if they give Brendon the money to finish the show.

Its on all night as I sleep, I wake up and catch certain shows.

    4am is the best usually.

As for buying the shows.... BAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA! no. I already pay for cable.

Umm, caring about them? No... but they serve a purpose... if they cancelled [as] I would just watch brazillian shit fetish porn while I choked myself.....

Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but at least I know where I will be at....

Allegedly Brendon asked to buy the rights outright and Williams Street told him to go f**k himself. They want to squat on the license.

I admit that I don't really watch anything when Rick and Morty or VB aren't in season besides Mike Tyson Mysteries, and the occasional Robot Chicken or Brule, but I figured that there was a demand somewhere. Even the animu is at the point where Netflix is making the shit itself to keep up with demand, and Amazon Prime went and bought themselves an entire animation block.

You can't tell that looking at the day to day here. It might as well be 2008.

Forgot Mike Tyson Mysteries and Robot Chicken, I watch those too. Still, though... that makes I think four original shows for me and at least one of them (Venture Bros.) can go years between seasons. When you compare how often that motivates me to watch the network compared to how often I don't really care about it, the overall outlook seems pretty bad.

I watch what they have on Hulu or Netflix, but I haven't regularly watched the block since around 2009. I've seen some of the shows live on Newnami like DW, Casshern, Space Dandy, and the first half of AoT, but I don't watch everything else on the [as] blocks like I used to.
