He has a pet snake that loves him. There's gotta be some goodness in him at least more then Trump.

    Doesn't Voldemort have powerful magic?

Trump seems pretty weak to me.

Voldemort never really worked as a villain for me.

His goals and ambitions were too generic.

Also even though he was adept in some particularly difficult and obscure magic he would not have won a war against humanity.

Magneto had similar goals and they were more obtainable to him and and all he could do was manipulate certain types of metal.

    He hates all mudbloods, though.

And a lot of Mexicans are mudbloods.

So, they kind fall under the banner of people Voldemort hates and wants to vanquish.

He at least hates all non-magical people equally...and not in a racist way.

I haven't returned to a Harry Potter book in at least 6 years.

A lot of it's still stuck in my brain though.

My least favorite segment of one of the books is book 5, I think, Order of the Phoenix, where Hermoine finds out that the creatures that prepare all the food at Hogwarts are slave elves or something and she starts some campaign for the fair treatment and liberation of them.

Just a really cringe moment in the series.

No it has nothing to do with race. But I'm just saying there aren't a lot of Mexican wizards in the Harry Potter books as far as I can remember.

So he just hates them by default.

    Confirmed. Rowling is a racist.

I'm being satirical. There are people out there that would argue she wasn't being inclusive enough and that her books lacked diversity.

Like I said earlier outside of his adeptness in very obscure and difficult practices of magic there isn't really anything special about the guy.

Of course he's a powerful wizard, but the only remarkable thing he really managed to do was achieve quasi-immortality by fracturing his soul and containing those pieces inside of objects.

Which was I'm sure arduous and very clever in a way, but it's not like he discovered the techniques he employed. They were almost universally frowned upon because of their dire consequences and implicit subversiveness to maintaining a balance between muggles and wizards.
